Actress. Comedian. Host.
I first began acting at eight as a mime at the mall.
I went on to do some community theater and in my teens I played Romeo in Romeo and Juliet and the March Hare in Alice in Wonderland. I then went into the more lucrative career of modeling and focused on my writing during my down time. While other models were doing drugs and wasting time with playboys I wrote my first book about my mother, Every Tom, Dick, and Harry.
When I was twenty-one I landed the lead role of Meadow Adare in Gavin O’Connor’s first film, Comfortably Numb and began my professional acting career. I moved to Los Angeles in 1996 and booked a TV pilot every year that I auditioned. I had a great time working on TNT’s BIG TIME, Fox’s ELIE’S THEORY, and the TV version of the film SWINGERS called HOLLYWOOD TALES directed by Jon Favreau.
I appeared in guest star roles in BECKER, CHICAGO HOPE, PACIFIC BLUE and SILK STALKINGS. Richard Benjamin directed me in my first comedy part in THE SHRINK IS IN and then I had a guest role on HBO’s comedy show HARDCORE TV.
I was in the Air Guitar Championships and am featured in the documentary about it – AIR GUITAR NATION!
As a COMEDIAN I was a regular on the Free Speech Show and Comedy Nation with John Fugelsang and also appeared at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles.
I host a comedy cooking show called STIRRING UP TROUBLE.
I won an Emmy for playing Safe Side Superchick in the video series The Safe Side Series, by Baby Einstein’s creator Julie Clark.
I was beside myself when casting director John Papsidera (Inception, The Dark Knight) called me up. He asked, “Hey, Angela, I have a role that only you or Lisa Kudrow can do and I think you will just walk in a book it. This IS you!”
I walked in and booked the host of my most favorite job ever and won an Emmy for it too.
I not only get to help keep kids safe, but I also do physical comedy, all my own stunts, and play all the various characters in the hilarious video series.
I acted in a few other indie movies, which you’ll probably never see due to the obstacles poor indie filmmakers face.
I continued writing and directing films myself. LOL.
I accepted a dare to gain 40 pounds to play lesbian golf champion, Tracy, in the golf comedy that I also wrote and directed – Eagle and the Albatross.
My opus is a live performance show and virtual reality experience that is the audio, visual, and tactile experience of my theory that when we teach healthy spiritually connected sex, we eradicate violence and hatred and share true OMG love in all aspects of our lives. I have only just begun.
